Lyrically and beautifully written, Ransom tells the story of a section of the Illiad. Priam, the King of Troy, travels to his enemy, Achilles, to ask for the return of the body of his son (Hector). Malouf writes poetically about the themes of loss, love, forgiveness and, ultimately, redemption.
